The Music of the Hail Mary, a Liturgy After Hours Event

The second event in our series, “Liturgy After Hours”. We will explore the text and music of the angelic salutation, known as the Hail Mary. This text is recited during the rosary, sung in motets, and has been meditated on by the Church for centuries. The Schola of St. Vincent Ferrer will sing a chant form and two polyphonic renditions of the salutation. Through guided attention to the text and music, we will ask, “What is it?”, “How to sing it?”, and “How to pray it?”
